2024 HHS OSDBU Small Business
National Training Conference

April 2–3, 2024 •  Atlanta, Georgia

THE IMPACT

The 2024 HHS OSDBU Small Business National Training Conference successfully brought together federal acquisition leaders and small business owners in a hybrid format that elevated engagement, expanded vendor outreach, and reinforced OSDBU’s commitment to inclusive procurement. Through strategic branding, digital design, and event coordination, the event delivered a polished experience that drove measurable results across in-person and virtual channels.

Key outcomes included:

  • 287 in-person attendees and 144 virtual participants across the three-day event

  • 472 successful one-on-one matchmaking meetings between small businesses and federal agencies

  • 58% of attendees were new potential vendors to HHS, expanding the agency’s vendor network

  • 1.2K livestream views on YouTube, with OSDBU gaining 119 new subscribers during the event

This solution-focused approach ensured all deliverables were visually cohesive, accessible, and aligned with OSDBU’s small business engagement goals while enhancing the attendee experience and elevating HHS’s presence across a complex, high-stakes hybrid event.

THE SOLUTION

To meet the needs of a hybrid audience and uphold the professionalism of a federal agency event, I led the creative direction, digital design, and visual branding strategy for the 2024 HHS OSDBU Small Business National Training Conference. I ensured that all design assets aligned with OSDBU’s mission and supported a seamless user experience across digital and in-person platforms.

Key deliverables included:

  • Branded event identity system including color palette, typography, and design templates

  • Presentation slide decks and speaker templates used by federal leadership and agency presenters

  • Large-format print signage such as stage backdrops, table skirts, welcome banners, registration and directional signage

  • Email campaign graphics and layouts to drive event registration and attendee engagement

  • Social media assets, including motion graphics and promotional graphics to engage attendees and promote the livestream and key conference highlights

  • Digital assets for livestream overlays, lower-thirds, and matchmaking platform screens

  • Content coordination with OSDBU stakeholders to align messaging and visuals across all event materials
